Since today was the only day in the last several weekends that I had a day off, I had the opportunity to meet with my mentor. We were together for around two hours, and we discussed the plan for my capstone physical project. We discussed things like my essay and how it was going now that I turned it in for teacher review. We also went into how I will be doing my hours and what I will be doing. I'm really content with the mentor I chose because she's a really easy going person, so communicating with her is fairly easy. The only thing I've been having trouble with is the little time I actually have to do anything on the weekends and after school, but I think I have my project under control. Hopefully I'll be meeting with my mentor again soon.

Some important things to the filmmaker is getting her point across to show that in this specific public school the roles of the jocks are different. The chess team are the cool kids and the jocks aren't as "in" as them. Watching the video makes me think that a documentary is a film based on someone or something that is happening. The name of the filmmaker is Katie Dellamaggiore and the subject is Brooklyn Castle, a documentary about a unique public school in Brooklyn that has a chess team powerhouse. Yes, I watched a part of the 30 minute interview. I chose this particular interview because it seemed very interesting to watch, especially because you don't normally hear about the chess team being known as "cool" or "popular".

My plan for revising my paper is going to be to hand it in to my mentor and let her revise it. On the last meeting I had with her, she told me that if I needed help on my paper or any editing that she would be more than happy to help. I believe that my essay is at a good stance, but it might need a tad bit revising on the nights that I stayed up late to work on it. A sleepy mind is never good when working on papers, so I think getting help from someone with a college degree is a great idea.

Welcome
Hello and welcome to my blog! The thing I'm most excited for in my senior year is just enjoying the time I have left with my friends, while making it a memorable year. Once high school is done we'll be going our separate ways, so enjoying the little time we have left is important to me. If I were stranded on an island the three items I would make sure to bring would be and endless supply of food, my phone with internet access, and someone else just to pass the time.
